Auf schachmatt.net dreht sich alles rund um das königliche Spiel.
Für ambitionierte Anfänger stelle ich Lernhilfen (schachmatt.net/schach-lernen) bereit und begleiten sie so zur ersten Partie. (Der Plan ist diese umfassenden Informationen nächstes Jahr zusätzlich in Videoform anzubieten.)
Erfahrene Spieler können sich im Blog umschauen und über aktuelle Geschehnisse informiert bleiben oder sich weiter über Schach in unserem Ratgeber weiterbilden.
Zudem gibt es noch nützliche Dokumente wie Partieformulare oder Paarungstabellen für Vereinsturniere als Download an.
Hauptaugenmerk liegt dabei auf einer visuell ansprechenden Umsetzung, denn keiner liest gerne 2000 Wörter in einer reinen Textwand. Ich versuche also, möglichst mit Videos und Grafiken zu arbeiten.
Die Seite ist erst 2020 entstanden und vielleicht ist es für den einen oder anderen interessant zu beobachten, wie sich die Seite so entwickelt.

1. FIDE Online-Olympiade für Menschen mit Behinderungen

Unser Mitglied Bernd Nerreter bekommt regelmäßig Informations-Mails vom Deutschen Blinden- und Sehbehinderten- Schachbundes. Hier ein Bericht, von der "1. FIDE Online-Olympiade für Menschen mit Behinderungen".
Nachdem die geplante 1. Paralympics im Sommer in Russland auf Grund der Corona-Pandemie abgesagt werden musste, versuchte die FIDE Möglichkeiten zu finden, um weltweit auch behinderten Schachspielern die Möglichkeit zu geben, sich in einem Turnier zu messen. Der Deutsche Schachbund (DSB) hatte im Vorfeld der geplanten Paralympics nach interessierten Spielern Ausschau gehalten, auf der Homepage einen Aufruf gestartet und bei den auf der FIDE-Seite als „disabled“ gelisteten Spieler nachgefragt.
Im späten Frühjahr 2020 fand bereits ein Online-Einzelwettbewerb mit einer Bedenkzeit von 10 Minuten plus 5 Sekunden Inkrement statt. Auf Grund der geringen Bedenkzeit lehnte der Spieler des Deutschen Blinden- und Sehbehinderten- Schachbundes (DBSB) Mirko Eichstaedt seine Teilnahme ab. Aber aus anderen Staaten nahmen bereits an diesem Wettkampf viele blinde und sehbehinderte Spieler teil.

GM Michael Prusikin ist uns seit langem bekannt als starker Schachspieler und (Jugend-) Trainer. Auch bei Noris-Tarrasch hat er in der Vergangenheit schon einige Trainings abgehalten. Jetzt tritt er zum ersten Mal als Schach Autor in Erscheinung.
"Feuer frei" heißt das 200 Seiten Buch, dass sich an Spieler von DWZ 1500 bis 2300 richtet. Es behandelt Themen rund um den Angriff im Schach, u.a. wie man einen solchen sauber und zielstrebig verwirklichen kann.
